The Windsor High School Athletic Hall of Fame's intent is for Windsor High School in Windsor, Connecticut and our community to recognize and honor those past athletes, coaches, teams, and volunteers who have made exceptional contributions to sports at Windsor High School. Forty-Nine years ago, in September of 1969, Dan began broadcasting Kingston High School Football, joining the WKNY 1490 Radio Team as a statistician and the half-time/postgame announcer. Thomas would eventually return to Kingston, where he operated a sporting goods store on the corner Broadway and Brewster Street, until he passed away in 1970. * Cindy Lowe (1974) Lettered in five different sports. The first class honors individuals who have contributed to the Tiger legacy as athletes, administrators, coaches and supporters. A 1,000-point scorer with the Tigers, he went to to star at Holy Cross and played professional basketball in Germany and Turkey. He is the Tigers all-time winningest coach with 372 victories in 28 years guiding the basketball team. F. Richard McCormick began his teaching and coaching career in the Kingston City School District in 1959. As a four-year member of the basketball team under Coach G. Warren Kias, Big Ed developed into one of the best big men ever to play at KHS. This performance earned him an All-American Honorable Mention Selection and an invite to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado. He was a member of the Kingston High School Class of 1969 and a star quarterback for the KHS Varsity Football team. It was there that his love of sports led him to becoming the Sports Editor for the school newspaper, Dame Rumor. We hope this journey today will spark your interest to come and visit the Hall in person. He led the basketball team in scoring as a sophomore and recovered three fumbles and getting an interception in the 1952 Army-Navy game. * Mike Rienzo (1949) Three-sport athlete and coach. He helped to revive the Kingston Cross Country program by winning the DUSO Championship in 1942, 1946, 1957, and 1962, and the Section Nine Title in 1946, 1952, 1957, 1958, 1961, and 1962. The Albert Einstein High School Alumni Association established the Arts Hall of Fame to recognize and honor graduates who have brought fame and recognition to Albert Einstein High School through their exemplary and outstanding contributions in music, theater, dance, cultural arts, visual arts, and many more!
