From 1957 to 1975 Mister Kelly's was one of the city's and country's most famous nightclubs, home to such performers as Ella Fitzgerald, Mort Sahl, the Smothers Brothers, Barbra Streisand, Sarah Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Bette Midler, Lenny Bruce you name one. I never cease to be amazed now how what some people saw as a quirky approach to tourism back in 2010 (but we saw as fundamental) has now become so much more sought after and mainstream.
